Every month we have a unique topic at the BiZHUB, and this is your monthly opportunity to discuss the issues arising. October 2021's topic was Coping With Growth.

We had our first speaker, Alex Christie of the Energi People come and tell us about his multi decade career in recruitment and the growth of his business.  He had a great story to share and made some very good points for any business owner seeking to grow their company. Our second speaker was Dayne Cartwright of 350Burger and Acorn's Coffee & Cake. He shared his journey, with his partner Tracey, into business and the sudden unexpected success of his two businesses. His talk was interview style and is available here, and is just audio but still gives you a great insight into a fast paced food and beverage business that is rapidly expanding.

Our collaboration session was based around the workbook below and asks you questions to help you implement the lessons Alex and Dayne shared and some of the questions they have asked themselves over the course of their business' life.

One of our members Dave McKinney, from Goldcrest Services signposted a great resource he himself used. A business plan from the Prince's Trust, which although it is labelled "Help for Young People", Dave emphasised how instrumental it was for him when creating his business plan.
