I am a graphic designer at my core with a strong leaning toward the digital space. I feel that is important to say because it is the fundamental starting place for effective visual communication.

Over the course of my career now spanning 20+ years, I have become a highly experienced UX/UI designer with frontend developer skills. Though UX and UI overlap, they are very different disciplines with the power to bring significant benefits to your users and your business goals.

As a UX designer, I identify friction points within interactive processes and work to smooth them out. As a UI designer and developer, my passion lies in creating solutions that are inclusive and accessible for all users.

All that said I also love what might be considered the more traditional disciplines of identity and brand creation particularly for small to medium-sized businesses.

Less traditional perhaps might be motion graphics which I approach very much as a graphic designer with the use of typography and inspiring video or image backgrounds. I start by disseminating your message into a series of scenes focussing on composition before moving into the transitions and movement of typography or the animation of infographics.
